Hey guys,
I have a random electrical issue that started today. I took the key out of the ignition and the brake light was on.. naturally the first thing I did was checked the brake fluid to make sure it was filled.. it was.

Next I noticed that the climate control lights were on, so I pressed the "low" button and sure enough it was getting power.

has anyone else experienced this? Do you have any suggestions? I've checked most of the fuses, but not the ones under the driver side kick pannel yet.

I was thinking a stuck ignition relay?

Probably thought of this already, but was the key turned all the way back? As cars get older, the keys don't always fit as tight as they used to and will let you take them out without returning to the proper position. The keys used to actually rattle out of the ignition on my old '88 pickup if I was driving on a bumpy road.

I can start my car, then pull my keys out, put them in my pocket, and drive off.... hehe.

Are you sure you are hitting the button to turn the key ALL the way off? :D

Yea, or a horrible ignition lock cylinder.

Once out of the lock position, i can start my car with anything strong enough and small enough to fit in the slot .. lol

Def on my fix list

I think ya'll are right, I think its the cylider.

My windows are also fully functional. My key is all the way to the off possition, and I cannot remove the key while the cars running/start the car with my fingernail.

I'll take a closer look at it tomorrow.. I've been driving all day trying to break in my new clutch. What a blast.
