check you valve clearance if its out of spec correct it with new shims.
with the oil problem. check the level. i know it sounds stupid, but i like to start simple. the lower part lightly pressed into the block and might be leaking. also the upper part just seals with a o-ring so that could...
the camera guy in the evo sounded like a douche too.
here is one that i just found at the end of the evo vid thats pretty cool. that mk4 launch dam near ripped the pavement off the track...
dam...........that sucks.
its cool you found a new one so fast though. and going from a n/a model to a turbo model at that. and fixing that car would be a BITCH and cost more than buying another one. he would have to replace both body harnesses and the engine harness. along with a whole...
yes. LOL.
that is what moves the sleeve (round thing over the hub) over the little splines on the gears. as you can see when you "grind the gears" you actually grind those little splines against the sleeve. what i find weird is you didn't have a problem with second gear. it could be that...
^here is what is sounded like on my old crashed car.
( mbc @10psi, hks dp, hks intake, and gutted cat)

shims are ok until you take them out.
then you'll have a stretched out wg spring thats even weaker then before. i say boost leak too. but i could be the hose to the wg. do you have hose clamps or zip ties on there? if not check that hose. it helped with the creep on mine.
i was sitting around watching the most recent youtube vids of supras and there are a ton from texas this year. wish i could have went.

this one is good too even though its a evo...
thats so weird.
it bolted up to my car fine with the stock dp and hks dp with the stock cat that was 11.5 (i know this because i had to get a test pipe a cut it down to about 9" for my nurspec to fit right.)
the only thing i can think of is when they welded it back together did the just...
holly shit.
your car runs soooooooo good.
nice to see one of the high hp guys showing what they got. btw your 3rd gear wraps out just about as fast as my 2nd with just me in the car. :aigo:
i wanna see that beast do a run without the extra 400lbs.
yeah. sounds like first gear thrust washer. if it was a shift for you would be having problems in second to as they share the same fork. as to how hard it is. the funny thing is the hardest part for me was the shift rails. its sorta confusing. but to get to the washer you can get at it with just...
get a better clip of the sound, then pull it. i couldn't really hear anything either.
but the fact that the noise goes away with the clutch in practically eliminates the possibility of the throwout bearing being a problem because that is the only time that bearing really has a load on it...
with the motor in the car you have to unbolt the pp. TRUST ME. a couple months ago i tried just pulling the fork and its impossible. ended up being a huge waste of time. you have to have the the motor out to do it that way because it has to slide back about 6inchs before it will ever drop down...
LOL. aren't you cool.............and i doubt you have had the back end swap around with you at 120. i don't think any mk3 will break the tires loose at 120. maybe in a 1000hp viper......
now that my tranny is done i'm focusing on my play motor. then by the summer i plan paint the car plus change the fucked up front bumper and hopefully get a new lip along with it.
oh and if you like blk mk3's look at the one i had before. it was taken car of so...
