You gotta adjust it correctly, either by the TSRM, or the way I've seen posted here, but I don't remember the exact procedure. If you don't adjust it right, it will run like shit. Just eyeballing it ain't gonna cut it.
The hose that connects the pipe to the valve is connected to the side with the notch at the bottom of the nipple. At least the diagram shows it that way, and that's the way I placed it on mine.
Just temporarily install the timing cover, and pulley, you don't have to bolt it up, or anything. For that matter, I always waited until I installed the things, and did my cam timing last.
Use a couple of those washers. the original ones are pretty thick, and just having a thin one on there, the bolt might bottom out before fully torquing.
That's too bad for them, if they'd sell their Supra that easily. What's the point of putting so much time, effort, and money into something, only to sell it to someone who might destroy it?
Yeah, if you've got the old throttle body, you can just swap that part in there, that contacts the TPS. It's only held on by one nut. I did it on mine when I thought I had a bad TPS.
