Code 31, and VERY loud, inconistant knock

It seems to me that the sound had a pretty high pitch. That could be indicating wrist pins. Check the wrist pins.

Code 31, and VERY loud, inconistant knock

Those bearings in the pictures don't look bad enough to knock like that. Look at this pic, that's a bad bearing!

Where does this harness plug go?

Hint: Next time you remove and disassemble an engine, take DETAILED pictures, and lots of them. Imagine if you had pictures of those part's locations, before you removed them. We probably wouldn't be here now.

Where does this harness plug go?

Get some better, clearer, bigger pictures. It would be easier to see what you're talking about then. I can hardly see that connector, much less ID it.

    yay or nay?

I'm suspicious about his reason for selling. Five minutes away or not, why would you need no transportation whatsoever? There's other places to go besides work. I think he's covering up something BIG.

Link to the EPC. Check this and compare it to how you put it in, to see if you did it backwards. http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/EPC/291420/catalog.aspx?F=2211&P=2

    Burning through Clutches

Depends on the condition of the flywheel. If it looks good, and you had no problems before, it should be OK. Getting it resurfaced though, is cheap insurance.

Oil Leak: Plug on front of block

You don't have to remove the head, but you do have to put lots of sealant on the area that the head gasket sits on, when you reinstall it.

Change your oil every six months..WHY?..Time vs. mileage

No jdub, he's asking about filters. If the denso one is less restrictive than an RP one, because someone said the RP one would get clogged.

    mechanic says bent rod......?

And saying it won't go above 3000 rpm suggests limp mode. Check your AFM, and the plug for it.An AFM issue will cause it to not rev above 3000 rpm.

Oil Leak: Plug on front of block

Best of both worlds, buy a new plug, and use teflon tape. Make sure you only have to fix it once. I put teflon tape on mine.

    Engine Block: Worth Keeping?

The simple answer is to install the filter housing and try torquing it to spec. If it holds, it might be worth keeping. I'm saying this from the poor man's point of view. If you got a lot of money, then spend it.
