A very brief search did not yield any answers about the proper lengths. I will look later when I don't have a midterm in a few hrs. lol
Maybe someone on here would be kind enough to find these numbers, or even measure their own.
I would personally be very interested in the pricing that would be available for these driveshafts you plan to make. Are you able to estimate the cost now or will that only be available after you complete a test piece of each?
I'm not too knowledgeable about cams so bear with me.
I would like to know if it is possible to determine the entire cam profile from the numbers given @ 0.050. Do all cams for a given motor follow some parabolic formula such that at any given time you can solve for the lift and duration...
Supra's make good project cars but I fear if you buy a shell you will get frustrated/bored before the car is ever complete. Buy a Mk3. You will be more likely to actually enjoy the car.
The box is very small as you can see so the volume was on the lower side of what was recommended for the sub. For some reason I have the number 1.2 cubic feet in my head. I can't go measure it since the car is in storage and I am away at school. It worked pretty well and managed to clear the...
Wow, when I first read the thread I was thinking "he must have just lubed the sliders" and that your problem was improper bleeding. I'm glad to see you didn't hurt anyone during this.
You need a new copper crush washer for the oil feed, gasket for between the turbo hard lines and the turbo, and the gasket between the block and the oil return. I usually just use copper, high temp FIPG for these 2 gaskets and I haven't had a problem yet.
EDIT: this is if you are just...
Thanks for all the kind words guys, I really appreciate it.
I've had the Supra since October 04 when I was in Gr. 12 in high school. I am now 20 and in my 3rd year of University. Building and driving this car is about the only thing that keeps me sane. lol Only two years left after this.
The problem with painting wheels on the car is not only the poor results (as you probably found out), it's the overspray you most likely get on the car and in the wheel wells. With only ~1-2 feet of the car masked off around the wheel wells there is still alot of the car exposed. This poses a...
I think they should be with the MkIII's and so should the 2J guys. They all have the unfortunate disadvantage of pushing nearly 4000 lbs down the strip so why are they racing Mk4's?
People who have done the 2J swap have spent enough money that they could easily have a really fast 7M, but they...
Mk4 track
front 60"
rear 60"
C6 Z06 track
front 62.1"
rear 60.7"
The Corvette is regarded to be wider than most so that is my basis for comparison. The Mk4 seems pretty decent to me.
There are a number of people on here running Stern or ADR wheels which can be found on ebay. These wheels are rather heavy but I have not heard of any structural weaknesses so far. If you want to spend a bit more money, you could go here and get some used wheels of higher quality...
