I would check the water neck outlet, where it meets the head. I had one of the 3 bolts fall out and the gasket shift. The coolant leaked all over that side of the engine and also can get into the cooling fan which then shoots it all over the passenger side of the car. I would recommend...
I agree with this statement, but the Tial BOV that is recirced is the Tial Alpha Q, more info found below.

btw, I am unaware how the alpha Q bov's perform, maybe somebody that has used it can chime in.
I have the HKS SSQV but ideally I would run a Tial or HKS Type II racing BOV as my first choices. I have found that MY car has no issue with the BOV venting to atmosphere even when I try to make it stall by making it blow off and pushing in the clutch at the same time. I did try running it...
Just as a general rule of thumb I have seen many of the bigh hp mk4 tuners say that 18 psi is about the max you want to go with pump gas. Some people have "tuned" there car to run 22-24psi on pump gas but usually this is using severly retarded timing and actually makes about the same power as...
That does not sound right to me, nor match the response of narrowband gauges I have seen in use. At cruise/idle the narrow band sensor should be going back and forth between rich and lean. Narrow band sensors switch between 0 and 1v output when the a/f ratio goes from below 14.7:1 to above...
Check your accordion pipe (turbo inlet pipe) for leaks or cracks. Since it looks like a stock AFM and ambient temps right now are LOWish your car should probably be FCing before 16psi (again all cars vary though). Mine with the stock afm is between 11-14psi based on the atmosphere with the afm...
What...if this were the case than every stock car with a performance DP would FC. a gasket leak in the exhaust will not have a large effect on fc and definitely will have less of an effect than a performance DP. I am done with this.
come on poodles, the op said he was hitting FC at 2 psi too, think about it...for that to be happening something completely unrelated to the exhaust is wrong.
Yes, those will work. I you don't want to splice your harness I would go this route though, this is what I am doing for my RC550's.

BTW, the injector clips on your Denso injectors are EV1 style. The stock supra injectors...
Alright, so think of a leak after the turbo effectively reducing exhaust pressure after the turbo (similar to putting on a big exhaust). Now lets say you run a big mouth DP which eliminates the stock elbow, that is going to flow more and reduce exhaust pressure post turbine more than a factory...
I would not recommend using harsh strippers on the center caps, been there, done that and it was a mistake. They are easy to just sand the paint off so that would be my method of stripping the caps.
yeah, jeff said he doesn't know if they are the same, different part numbers but they might still be physically the same. I will try to let everyone know if they can be switched or not.
yeah I wasn't thinking when I posted that up, I have been through this section so many times I am loosing it :).
George, did you compare the pinion and ring gears between the IS diff and the Ma70 Diff? Did you notice any differences (part numbers are different with toyota)? I know the...
