3 words: Permatex Spray Gasket. Coat both sides, allow to get tacky, lay on the block then lay head ontop. It's cool cuz it's red, so you can easily see the areas you sprayed. eric

Yes YES oh god yes! My engine was like yours, the valleys were full of oil, and it was coming from the valve cover gaskets. I removed the plugs and they were coated so heavily it was just a glob of oil. I cleaned it all out, and replaced the valve cover gaskets. I also scraped the 3rd valve...

Ok, so I slapped a new hg on the engine and torqued to 74ft/lbs. I got it to idle somewhat ok, now, when i drive for a bit, it gets up to temp fine and doesn't run hot, but when I stop and turn off the car, coolant gets pushed out of the little hose on the overflow cap. Why is this? I was told...

I used the 90 degree hose from the back of the head in place for that one you guys are tlaking about, and it fit perfect. $22 hose from toyota tho, so I was a little hesitant at fist. eric

My 88 NA has the wires hanging next to the strut towers for the tems actuators. Still wraped nicely with toyota tape too. eric
