Short pronunciation question from a foreigner

first time i ever heard you yanks say you called it zee-ex. Man that sounds wierd! Yeah and silent_sniper is right I think they say zee because it rhymes with (c) so learning the alphabet is easier for the southern half of north america. Us canadians can handle the Zed :biglaugh: eric

    Save small BHG with retorque?

Failure of the stock bolts does not cause most bhg, but rather the undertorquing of said bolts. The bolts are fine if torqued correctly. eric

    Idle adjustment

Isn't it the screw on the right of the tb, it's close to the dashpot. You'll see a screw pushing against a sort of rubber boot for lack of words. Look right beside the tb on the side closest to the interior. eric

    Save small BHG with retorque?

BTW yes you can re-use stock hg bolts, they are made of very good metal believe it or not. Unless you overtorque them to 100+ you can safetly re-use them. Many people choose not to however, just so they don't have to worry about it. If you can afford to get ARP bolts or studs, but for a super...

can anyone here stand thier dad?

I love my dad. My parents have been divorced for about 10 years now, I used to be more distant from him but over the past couple years I really started to appreciate him. Maybe because I see him only occasionally now, maybe because I'm older and can see things better as he would see them. There...

    Warm idle problem

I notice when the car first turns on, after a few cranks that is, and it's cold from not driving in awhile it idle for the most part, but once it warms up if I let off the gass completely or shift gears too long it'll dip way to in the revs and then die. Ideas why it would not hold idle when...

    Need help ASAP!

I'm 6'10" and I have headroom when the seat is reclined a bit, it's rather amazing actually :icon_razz . One last question, I'll check this when I get home from work. When setting the dizzy, I couldn't find a tick mark on the gear itself, so I assume I use the metal circle imbedded into the...

    Need help ASAP!

Hmm, I'll have to re-check down there I guess. I looked twice and didn't see anything unconnected near the gearbox tho. I did connect the round connector , and although i don't remember removing more than 1 from the tranny I'll triple check anyway. Thanks for the tip. eric

    Need help ASAP!

It's a 4 wire connector, with colours; yellow, red, blue, and black wires. I plugged the brown wire into the end of the starter closest to the flywheel, are you saying there is another connection on the underside of the starter? That would be possible for this as the length might reach down that...

Not the groud wires, those are safetly connected to the intake manifold you can actually sorta see them in the pic. It's an 88 supra. I know this connector has to go somewhere and it must be important. The connector is sorta clearish greyish whitish :icon_razz . eric

Hey, I need help right now so I can get my car running before tomorrow, I won't sleep well unless this car runs! Take a look at my picture. Where does the connector circled in red go!? It's attached to the group of wires, one going to the tranny, one going to the starter, and this one I forgot...
