So what you're saying is you would choose the HKS cast longrunner manifold over the ebay one, for your personal car.

For sure!

I couldn't find one so got the SSAC 321 stainless one and it's almost 3mm wall thickness so is quiet for a tubular (my exhaust is quieter than stock so a noisy header would piss me off) :)

Header wrap really makes them quiet as well.

Cup of suprA, do you have the china manifold? Just wondering where yours cracked at? So far, I do not know of any failures of this manifold yet. (And there are many examples out there running around with no problems.)

For the money, it can't be beat. Sure there are better manifolds out there, but not for the price right now.

That being said, I'm bracing mine in three spots, and tying in the stock lower brace from the engine mount to the turbo, and making a custom one that goes from the upper brace used on the CT to the turbo. (So a total of 5 braces, two of them are bolt on after the fact, and 3 are welded into place never to be removed again.) I'm also thinking of cutting the head side flange in half at the mid point to allow it to expand and contract along with the head. (Less chance of cracking and warping that way I'm thinking.. )

Anyone done that? Or reccomend it?

I don't trust turbo manifolds made in china, they are know for cracking
So can you show me one of these manifolds that has cracked on a SUPRA? Because these have been around for a couple years now and I have yet to hear one supra owner complain of cracking... I know the honda ones were cracking, because the way the are shaped and the turbo putting so much weight on the mani...

just powdercoat/ceramic coat it, or if youre cheap, go with untouchable's idea and rattlecan it to death.

i have never heard of any cracking as well. if you are worried about that just wrap them. cracking is most commonly caused from fast temp changes. usually cooling down too fast. when you wrap it your header wont cool down as fast which helps it last longer. i have also heard the turbo blankets help along the same lines of a longer life. when i install mine i am wraping my manifold, turbo and dp.
