I have seen many MKIII supras running with stock MKIIII spoilers, it looks really cool but the mounting surface on the spoiler is curved not flat how do they bolt them to a MKIII? Is there some adaptor plate they use? I have a MKIIII spoiler and my car is in the paint booth right now and I wanna have that spoiler put on but you cant mount a round base to a flat hatch how the heck do they do it!!?? The red one on the front left is a good example (srry if its off topic of tech)

It may not be mounted on the sides. It may be mounted in the middle and/or close to the sides of the hatch. Hopefully he wouldn't mount it on the sides where it wouldn't open.

If your car is at a body shop, mounting a spoiler will be the least of their worries. Trust me, if you want it mounted, they can and will find a way. They may have to hide something with bondo, but it'll get mounted..........Good luck.

True, without any spoiler it seems so sleek, almost like the wind rolls off the tail as water rolls down a cliff's edge. BTW mine is spoilerless :icon_bigg

I think the red one in front looks good with that spoiler and its not some cheap spoiler from pepboys its from a 4th gen Supra! he should loose the stickers though

The stock 89+ spoiler or the whale tail look the best, imo. As for the tall mk4 style wing. It attaches to the hatch, which will still open. If you look a bit closer you will see the pillars. The outside of the spoiler just comes close to the body to give a mounted appearance. Check out some of bomex's stuff.

The MKIV spoilers shouldn't even be on MKIV... IMO
Though if you like it you can make something to the bottom of the spoiler to match it with the hatch yourself. Like little wings inside or smt. if you understand me :icon_razz

Supra90, can you shrink that picture down so that I can see the whole car? That thing looks sexy as hell. I'm pretty sure it's the same color as mine. Although mine has been painted and it may not be the exact factory color. I love that picture though, but I can't see no further than the back tire.
