I was a little dissapointed in the turnout being that I drove from Jax.. It was cool to meet a few of you from the forum though.. Maybe next year when I get the rebuild done I will make another trip..
I was hoping to get a few shots of RTA, DRB and Vic on their 2nd passes. After that guy...
Not too bad.. They just dipped on me... I didn't mind sounding off in the window of a MK4 though.. It was pretty good.. The track was crazy though.. With the oil spills and cleanup we didn't stay around for the 2nd runs of the MKIII's.. We had a 5hr drive back..
I am glad to say...
Yeah.. you should be able to get one for the same price if not better.. The other thing to consider would be..
You buy a turbo car with a R154.. You have a N/A with an R154.. If one breaks you have a swap.. Might as well give yourself an option.
Not a bad price... If that is shipped!! Like I said you will probably want to buy new master\slave and maybe lines..
I would have to kind of lean towards what Brad said... Why would you not want to use the R154?
I know you mentioned you wouldn't need it because of horsepower reasons...
I am not saying by any means that a 7M won't beat a 2jz.. I am sure there on people on both ends that can agree to that..
I guess there is just too many factors to determine what is a fair race..
That's what I hate about "Pinks"!!!
"My car will whip your cars A$$".. Then the loudmouth...
Yea, to the left of my hand (couple posts up) you can see the boost sensor.. It's black with a silver sticker on it.. There is a vacuum line connected right under it. If it is connected there, then trace it back to the back/top of the firewall and make sure all those lines are connected..
Your asking so.. Being that the highest HP 7M that I know of (not being a drag motor) is not that close to what the stock bottom end will hold on a 2JZ. I think the class of car should remain in what motor that the car was built with.. I mean, how many MKIII's have made 900-1000whp?? That...
Brad, Not sure If I would trust those old tires.. I was just going to do Burnouts with them.. However.. That Turbo at the Junkyard on Mainstreet had great tires on it.. It was Sawblades..
As far as the Drag car.. Hell I would gladly get that 87 N/A chassis out of the garage.. Lets put in...
Yep.. Read the install instructions it will tell you how far down the pipe it should be.. I have heard of putting it in the test pipe as well.. You do run the risk of something knocking it off.. Not too likely but could happen.. Most WB need to be at least 6 in away from the turbo. I think...
