Just to update everyone.. that '89 I had i stripped and parted out. It had rust everywhere. I don't understand how it got so bad. So I now have a '91 and I got a 1jz I am swapping into it.. So this can be closed..
To start off I have been looking all day at sites to find a Aftermarket 1JZ intake manifold that will work for my car. All the ones on Ebay are made in Thailand, and some don't even look like they fit... Scary thought when spending a larger amount of money.
Right now I am looking to spend...
I always remove it with no issues. I use 1/4 extension's, and a swivel. The oil drain I can just find that too, then disconnect the oil feed 17MM. Everything is quite easy. I never remove the exhaust manifold with the turbo.
This is true they will, but this didn't chnage the color, I noticed they added that too. Plugs are different, the biggest difference is the m1 plug on the '89 is TINY*
Alright, time to chime in a little.
For starters these are the plugs you will be dealing with in your '92 as long as you're '92 is a turbo.
That is out of my '92 Teal Supra with a 5-speed from the factory.
Keep in mind that the reason why the B2 plug has so many wires is that most of...
Finally after getting the motor and everything sorted out I started the process of putting the motor in.
This picture is of the motor before being ready.
The motor is out of a Toyota Chaser from Japan. I ordered one from a Supra but didn't get it, I decided to just keep it because the...
1. Bend the dip stick to fit correctly, I have had to o this many times, sometimes someone, or something bends it and you didn't know.
2. Do not use the cork gasket. it is no good and you will get leaks. Use FIPG or what I use is " Right Stuff " from Permatex. I just used it to seal my 1JZ...
Yeah I found those, but good news I got access to every Toyota Plug that was made ( Zumtizle ) and now have them and I am ready to start a thread soon thanks!
I am looking for A plug view so I can add number to it.
I just need the picture like this:
But ti has to be the Plugs themselves I have a chaser and it seems they're the same, but I am doing a write and need the plugs like this, I don't care if they have or do not have numbers in...
Swap the EGR system over on it, unless you get one with harness and ECU.
Everything else will work good for you.
I had a JDM motor in my '88 and sadly it had rod knock on it at low miles. I bought it from someone who I was pretty sure beat the hell out of it though.
I would consider this. The gearing especially in first is to short and I spin through 2nd and third at times with my '87 I had. These gears would not exactly prevent this, but longer gears would able for a shift to be at a higher speed and I like that.
Would there be any combination that...
Ha, I just sign -Teal because I can. Depends how I feel, though my name is really Eathen.
Anyhow post it and I will look at it. I have how had it with no real complete pinouts of this damn ECU and I will have a complete one tonight when I spend 3 plus hours doing it all.
I can't really find a legit ECU pin out anywhere. Every time I look at one it is missing something and has a " ? " in it's input. Also it would be nice to know the color of the wire. my 1JZ comes in, in about 2 hours so I guess I am just going to do it for everyone, and take a DVOM and find...
The company I used seems to be legit.. so far my motor will be here in about 6 hours so we will see. Also there is another company I ordered from that got my motor to me in 5 days which it think it pretty good.
If you want a 100% guarantee though, I would suggest Driftmotion by far. You...
