This might sound silly, but i've put in my gauge cluster after repairing burnt wires and forgot to plug in a connector in the back. The whole time i thought it was the fault of the burnt wires burning through other wires and it turns out it was just my stupidity. Just an idea:P
Went out and cleaned it out again with brake clean and gasoline it flowed out of it like there was no screen so it seems pretty unrestricted:P Is there a seal on the pump itself or something that could go bad that would allow air to be sucked in?
Okay i'm stumped.. Been having issues with power steering for about a year now and i''ve only just lately been able to do anything about it.
My symptoms were heavy steering and loud annoying whine that would not stop. First i flushed the fluid and cleaned out the reservoir then filled it...
Tiny update
Lowered my car about an inch and a half.
My commute to school has the worst roads so my right rear shock has lost a little fluid and is noisy now. Plans to get new rear shocks are in the new future. PS pump is on its way out too but i've got one coming.
Here's the deal. My power steering on my 89 GTE is in terrible shape. Rack binds, pump whines even after complete flush with ATF. Anywho, i have a buddy with i believe a 91 cressida that he's thinking about parting out and i was wondering if the rack and pump would work on my poopra?
