Thanks everybody for the feedback! Turns out the TSRM was just confusing me on the whole TDC thing when it said to look for the lobe in the oil cap. Finally pulled the timing cover and got it to TDC and installed the CPS in the same position that it was in before and the car runs fine now...

Tried all that last night but everytime i put the cps in the gear kept moving when i was putting it in. I'll have another go at it in a bit.

Well crap. I've tried searching and i'm still a bit confused. How do i adjust the CPS after i've installed it correctly?

IDK if anyone has said this yet but if you put some small washers on the lower hinge it'll raise the door up just a tad. Worked for me at least.

89 Turbo 5 spd 50k on engine. Around 21 city driving it not so conservatively and 24.5 highway, again not too conservative.

Well that damn annoying to replace coolant hose in the front of the engine under the t-stat exploded on me again so i went ahead and changed it out. In the process i disconnected all the connectors in the way, moved the ps reservoir and bracket and took out what i'm assuming is the cps(black...

Ganna start using this as a maintenance logger. 5/22/10 changed diff and tranny fluid with redline. Diff fluid was dark and mucky but the trans wasn't too bad.. mostly red/clear.

I am having the EXACT problem. Cleaned out the res with a full can of brake clean.. nothing. Then got a used pump and cleaned out the res again with gasoline and still whines. Liquid seemed to flow out pretty decently too. Blamed it on someone sending me a bad pump so i got a brand new...

There are several different pumps for our cars and it seems difficult to find exactly which pump goes with what year. I suspected the pump on my 89 was dead so i got a new (used) one off of someone here and it was quite different. The mounting bracket on my 89 was shaped like an odd "L" and...

The boxes are decently tuned for the speakers that are designed to go in them so don't mess with the ports. If i was going to go about replacing them i'd get some 5 inch woofers or a 5 inch componet set and put the tweeters where the 3.5's go and just rid the 3.5's. Would be easiest. Also...

Thats prolly not it. Shouldn't have anything to do with the low coolant light anywho.. Check you fluid level? Sometimes the sensors in the overflow tank get stuck and make the low coolant light come on too.
