    Not supposed to stay on but even if it does i don't think it'd be enough to kill a battery in a few days? Does your radio stay on as well?

    Preperation for a long trip

    I drove my 89 to texas from ohio and back, a 1400 mile round trip.. twice and all was well. Just make sure you kept up with your critical maintenance.
