    7M VS ACR Viper

Sean, once this car is tuned she will be an animal. Now you need brakes

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Latest update: We finally have a better handle on the boost issues. Apparently when Sean and Steve dropped the engine back in a vacuum line that goes to the spool valve was pinched completely off. Sean unpinched it and she now boosts decently. In the process of sorting it all out, he found my...

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Steve, right on! You can already see the difference. For me the biggest thing to get used to was the smell. It doesn't smell at all like gas. Huge difference at the pump. I am sure between your skills and Sean's skills your car will be pulling a hell of a lot harder. Now get some tires. The...

    92nsx's supra build

Rob, nice! Like Emilio said, hope this gets you going again. I am still having issues with my 2JZ, but after listerniung to DaveH and his friend Matt last weekend they have given us a few things to check on.

    92nsx's supra build

Yes, I learned my lesson on the shitty gasket kit. That is why when we need to pull her out and put in new bearings, I used the good stuff. Hopefully no issues.

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Nice going Steve. Any of the typical dyno problems? Water or oil leaks, boost issues? How many pounds of boost?

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Hey Steve, I heard a rumor about an alleged run in with a 350Z and a silver MKIII very similar to yours. Have you heard anything?? I heard the 350 got his ass handed to him!!

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Lot's of good news to add; 1. 2JZ is up and running smooth. Sean and Steve, Drew did an awesome job. She still needs a good day of tweaking but I drove her today to my new house. Damn good oil pressure at idle was 40 lbs! 2. My car won MN Sport Compacts car of the month!! 3. Bought a new...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Steve, I just sent you an e-mail. We don't know if the oil pump was replaced or not so I vote to do it. I also want to get FMS and RMS. It does make sense. Whats the best way to be sure metal filings are washed out of motor? There is quite a bit. How soon would you change oil after the...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Steve, Thanks for driving up here and listening. It looks like right now, the bearings will cost 200, plus what ever the cost of buffing the crank. Sean told me he was going to shim the oil pump. The rear seal which I thought had a slow leak appears OK. Anything else beside stop using Mobil 1...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Latest update: Bad news, and better news. I had her on the dyno about 10 days ago. We took our time and got the AEM set. She made 550 rwhp at 22 lbs of boost. I was planning on boosting her to 30 lbs. We were just getting ready to make big power when Shane (tuner) heard a sound while listening...

    Help

You probably are leaking oil onto the exhaust system. Jack her up, put her on a hoist, what ever it takes, get under her for a look. You have to give us more of an idea where it is leaking from. Do the basics, if you can't find an answer, then post up.

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Steve, glad to hear all is well. Wish I could come and watch. It would be nice to see someone else spending the money. Hope you have better luck than I did! BTW, Sean has the 2JZ 3/4 of the way out. Working on it as I type. He amazes me in how much he can get done in 1 hour when he puts his...

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Awesome news Steve. I wish I could have road along with Sean and Drew, but I was wheeling and dealing trying to find a guy to build my new garage.

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

IJ, I made sure Sean saw your post. He seems to think it won't be a problem. I am going to be sure we point this out to Shane who will be tuning car on Wednesday. Tonight we made sure we were running a tad rich and we took her out for a drive around town. It is a real animal. Chirping the...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

IJ he just flipped it over. Made install and removal of down pipe a lot easier. I can tell you even though we only drove her for a mile of so last night. I popped her off a couple of times. We just wanted to see if we had boost. Here are a couple more photos of his welding job. What do you all...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Well Sean has hard cored it trying to get her up and running for the meet today. It's 2 am and we just got back from a mile ride around the neighbor hood. It runs a bit rough but she runs and boosts hard. We have a lot of tweaking to finish her off. We will be taking the BMW. Here are a few...

Nice looking work Steve. I like the black intake manifold.

    Minnesota Supra Meet! 5/15/10

Rob, I will be there. I think even if my reducer elbow comes in , that with all the upgrades, better to be prudent and just take the BMW. Hate to be sitting along side the road.

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Ok Steve, I will be looking for a clean used set. Sean is going to SS today and hopefully will return with my needed fittings for the turbo. She should be running on Sunday!!
