    used jdm engines?

I have bought several JDM engines in the past. Do yourself a huge favor, take them to a machine shop and get them looked at by someone who knows what they are doing. If you just bolt them in and expect them to last, you are in for a surprize. Rebuilds are not that expensive and in the long run...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Here are photos of the latest purchase. Got a damn good deal from cjsupra90. Chris did a damn good job packing and shipping. These were not in my immediate plans but the price was right. +++

Callout to FIGGIE lets run em in the spring of 2010

Sean, we should have a good time racing comparable cars, Yours, Figgie's, 92nsx, toyotanos, and mine. Perhaps a few others. I will be in mid to low 11's by then. I am in. Let's see what those built 7M's can do against my 2JZ. I may have to get the billet 67 after all instead of upgrading my...

    My new car= decision making

I vote for the HG. I have been down this road. 92nsx is correct. Get the head decked, use ARP head studs, crank the MF's down tight. Then you won't have to go down the road of a blown HG like so many here have. If your funds are limited. This is where I would spend my hard earned dollars. The...

What exhaust to do and which one do you have

jessemkiiis, The Greddy stuffcame with the 87 Supra I bought from Casieo (a non active member). I think you can just buy it from Greddy. It is called SP Cat Back. Dan

What exhaust to do and which one do you have

Mine is custom 3" with Greddy muffler. It's not as quiet as 92NSX HKS setup. It is pretty decent though. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of listening to a whole bunch of loud Evo's, STI's and a few Eclipse. None of them sounds a sweet as a Supra.

Re-dynod my 87 today, pretty good results

I had forgot what fuel cut felt like. Damn good spike at 4700 rpm's. The AEM must sense that there is way to much boost. If we would have kept going it would have been damn near 40! Much better approach is to start with boost controller open, and slowly dial it up.

Re-dynod my 87 today, pretty good results

It reminded me of trying to slow down at the track when running the quarter mile. Those OEM sure make a lot of noise when you brake hard several times from 140 to 0. Yes, looking forward to having them on. Dan

Re-dynod my 87 today, pretty good results

Well yesterday funky_monkey58 and I braved our way to MAP Performance to see if we could get over 600 rwhp. It rained on the way down and even though we tried and tried to get the manual boost controller to give us over 21 lbs of boost it would not. A ton of Evo's and Eclipse. I was the only...

Re-dynod my 87 today, pretty good results

I have not leaned it out for highway driving. This was at 80 mph. I bet if I only drove 70 it would be better. Tonight we are changing oil and cranking up the boost. It would be sweet to get to 650 but I am not holding my breath. I just don't want to break anything...

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Just found this thread. We will have to take our cars to the track next summer. I am expecting considerable more than the 550 rwhp where she is now set. Not going to let funky_monkey58 beat me! Dan

Re-dynod my 87 today, pretty good results

supersupramk3, I have had my car at RS before but never got on the dyno there. I liked Ron and I think his prices were fair. I think Shane at DB has more Supra experience and also really knows the AEM. We may have to try RockFalls next spring. Funky_monkey58 is coming over tonight to do a bit...

Re-dynod my 87 today, pretty good results

MRSUPRA I have been driving the Supra quite a bit over the last month. I am getting 15 mpg's with highway driving at 80 mph. Around town it is of course less. The Supra is a bit difficult to start with this cooler weather though. Froze 2 nights ago for the first time. Hopefully I can drive her...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

I appreciated the company. I love it when the windshield wipers take off on their own! This week end we are thinking of dynoing one last time. Sean told me there was a dyno day in Plymouth. Push her up to 26 lbs and see what happens, we should be over 600 and if lucky 650!!

Making a highly responsive, streetable and pump gas only efficient 2JZ...ideas please

Guys I don't profess to be a tuning expert but getting 500 rwhp was pretty easy. My set up is similar with the exception of E-85 and 1200cc injectors. See my signature below. In Minnesota E-85 is every where. Race gas for less than 2.00 a gallon. I put down 550 rwhp with 515 TQ at 22 lbs of...

Minnesota Supra Meet 9/26/09 Pics & Vids

I also had a very good time. I want to thank all who made this meet possible. First of all Greg at Supra Sport for letting us meet there. The conversation, food, and camaraderie was excellent, but could we get a better looking cook next time??? Thanks to Sean, Emilio, Rob, and anyone else who...

Fall Minnesota SupraSport Meet - September 26th

I also thihk it is important to invite all generations of Supras. One other thought might be to make it a parts selling/trading session? I know funky_monkey58, emiliorescigno, 92nsx, and I have plenty of parts we could stand to get rid of. What do you all think? Another idea would be to...
