Edit: tons of photos added. Some might know I have a 7M in a Z car. I first completed the swap in April of 2005 and drove it to the West Coast Z car Nationals the week after I completed the swap. Having a MHG and a box of ARP head studs ready to go I opted to wait until I returned from the...

Ways to cure 7M oiling issues

No, No, No, and yes. AN fittings need no sealant what so ever. The Tapered thread is where you install 2 revolutions of teflon tape (not teflon sealant or paste or puddy). On the end with the jamb nut you put silicone sealant, but only on the last few threads where it enters the Oil Pump. I...

    Milo's Booster Seat...

Thats funny. Mine was almost impossible to get the splined shaft out. I needed a 3 jawed puller. I didnt take photos of that (sorry). But I used this on both the parts car and my car, and once the splined shaft was out this slide hammer did the trick perfectly. In doing the rear brakes I...

Ways to cure 7M oiling issues

Sorry no flow tests yet. But this mod eliminates all the restrictions between the pump and the Filter Adapter. If you follow thru with a few more mods to the Oil system I dont see how it cant be an improvment.

Awesome thread!!! more post like this is what I always look for. I understand what you mean but dont know the feeling, I built another 7M, my 4th one. All the others were quickey slap togethers or ghetto rebuilds, but since I spent serious money and time on this rebuild I am so paranoid of...

    2JZ NA-T in my 87T

I had never considered this swap. Great idea!!! A local friend stopped by last night and had me drill and tap his upper oil pan so he could install my -10 2JZ oil return line to do this exact same swap. Looks like Im going to have to make more of those things. I put a big 1/2 inch socket...

Very soon, I anticipate having complete kits ready my Monday, but like I have said before. This kind of thing is completely out of my hands. Ways to cure 7M oiling issues

Hey guys when installing these make sure the sleeves look like this. When installing its easy for the sleeve to get up inside the nut and when your torquing it down it gives resistance like its sealing but its not. Look very closely at the how the sleeve fits in to the nut so that you know what...
