I made 677whp, 600tq on a .68 hotside. For his goals, it is the perfect choice. I could have made over 700 with a larger housing, but I liked the "fast" spool. I was supprised tho, as multiple people told me I couldn't break 660whp on a .68 hotside.
I'm running the Blitz SBC ID III, same one I had one the Supra. I loved it on the Supra, it never spiked. That's why I think this one is defective. I definitely know how to work it.
I've run one on the 7MGTE and one on the 2JZGE. Both were SS autocrhome/power SX Both were amazing.
Seems unanimous. People who HAVE ACTUALLY USED THEM love them. For functionality, you can't beat them.
I think that's the best thing you can do right now. Looks like coils could clear the problem right up.
I'm not trying to be a pessimist. Just more of a realist. In the meantime, look ahead. What if the coils don't clear it up. Start thinking about what else it might be. Have you installed cams...
Driveability was great. There are some tricks to keeping the car running smoothly (IE NB02 with 5% feedback). The car was very reliable and started every time. I really enjoyed having a MAP based car.
