It's possible, but I'd doubt that. Considering the amount that the walbro will flow with no pressure on it is far more than the 044 will flow under pressure, and whatever fuel is bypassed at the rail via regulator goes back into the surge tank.
Took me all of a day, putting around town to get completely used to RHD. I daily drive it now. I've yet to be pulled over in it.
The bigger IC actually made it a lil slower... reason being..
If you ask most 240 kids what the stock boost of an SR20DET is, they'll say 7 psi. Yes. The stock WG...
I understand why. My eventual goal was to have a built 2JZGE-T with over 1000whp in an S13.. but not this one! Now I'm leaning towards 1UZ/1FZ. Judging by my experience of the 2JZGE on the stock block, I feel like 1Kwhp shouldn't be hard to hit with the right mods and some tuning, so I'd like to...
It hasn't been dynoed since Matt picked the car up, and put on the GT4088. Judging by the AFR's, when he put the new turbo on, it WILL make more power than when I dynoed it with the MP T70. Back then it was 615whp @ 21psi (pump and meth); and 677whp @ 27.5psi (50/50 93/110 + meth).
Sounds to me like your car could be dangerously lean.
You'll have to spend some money to make this car boost safely.
In my honest opinion, you AT LEAST need a fuel pressure reglator, a SAFC (or similar) and a competent tuner.
Or you could go GTE electronics, and be a little safer on the stock...
Hell yea, brake boosting makes a HUGE difference. I literally stood on the breaks while at WOT. That car will nearly hit full boost while brake boosting.
laggy high-hp car + brake boosting = unbeatable highway monster. :)
I'm still working on comming up to Chicago, I'll be a married man...
Ahh, ok. Revlimit will keep the car from over-reving. ;) Dave H has done many pulls reving pas 8K RPM's on stock valvetrain.
You'll be able to floor it steadily to see where your boost stops at.
After that, just floor it and make sure your AFR's don't go lean.
