    OZ Turbo-A Dyno

Is the tuner familiar with these engines? I had similar results on my 2JZGE a while back. It ended up being the tune. It was too conservative. It completely killed my numbers. With a couple degrees of timing it picked up 200whp.

2JZGE-T Master Power T-70 Dyno Numbers

Just take it easy, and slow. If your uncomfortable do .5* at a time. Never do more than 1 degree at a time. It's somewhat of a gradual process best done on the dyno. You're listening for the rice on tin-foil sound. That's the ping, or detonation.

2JZGE-T Master Power T-70 Dyno Numbers

Oh that rate's not bad at all. Honda tuners arn't used to the ammount of ignition timing these motors can take. Partially because honda's require very little to make power, and very little to detonate. I believe the tune is too conservative. I believe the drop in power was due to a boost...

    2JZ NA-T into MK3

I posted in your other thread. I have a pretty good idea what's going on. I think it's all tune related.

2JZGE-T Master Power T-70 Dyno Numbers

Yea. That's why the numbers are low. IMHO you should be able to run more advanced timing with your lower CR. What octane fuel do you run? Did you pay this guy to tune or was he just listening in to be a nice guy? Do you happen to have the dyno graph? I think I know why it had a dip in...

2JZGE-T Master Power T-70 Dyno Numbers

Did you hear any detonation? Seems like it may be time to play with the timing.

t67 1jz.....How much will it make?

    My T70 2JZGE made 615whp on 21 psi, 93 + 100% methanol. I'd say 550, depending on the tuner.

thats what i did with the factory knock sensor. Works great. I use it when tuning customer cars.

    TooGoode's 2J build

Good work. You'll find after working on the 2JZ that you'll never want to work on a 7M again. At least, that's how it went for me.. and I never had a 7M give me any trouble. 2JZ's are just newer, generally in better condition, and much easier to work on.

Yes, in the lower runner of the intake manifold there is a coolant passage. It's possible.

    7m vs sr20

LOL no argument here. On average. The SR's I see here are swapped.. and the ECU's are throwing all sorts of critical codes. That's why I got a Silvia instead of a swapped 240. I wanted Nissan's OEM wiring, not some kid's "get-r-done" wiring.

    7m vs sr20

Interesting. Comming from a 677whp 2JZ in my MKIII, my stock Silvia with an SR20DET doesn't feel underpowered at all. Its no 2JZ tho.. I have a FMIC, EBC, Ecutout, and my very own custom tune. I might know more about throwing a car together than the average 240 kid tho. Because I'm definately...

    New dyno results: (627hp / 574tq) GT4088

Congrats Brent. But seriously, go standalone and never look back. Knowing you, you'll love to tinker with it, rather than "fighting" with the stock ECU.
