I have searched around and haven't found any write ups on this.
Wiring LEDs (one or more) in to the knock sensor circuit. Im running standalone and would like to SEE when or if I knock. The computer will adjust acordingly when and if the motor knocks but I want to see it as some times I will be tuning on the fly. The ECU wont adjust that fast when tuning on the go.
I have read on some other sites that people have taken certain (Volvo, Porsche) sensors and wired them with various components to a 1/8 headphone jack and listened for knock through a headset. That's a bit too far for me.
I know that there are A/M LED knock sensors but just dont want to pay hundreds of dollars for them.
I also want to know of another good place for a third sensor? Most sites that Ive read on say that any good threaded port or pocket will work as long as its in the block and as close to the lateral center of the crank as possible.
