I don't get why everyone has so many cooling issues. Driving through texas in the dead of summer with the ac blasting and going anywhere from 75 to 95 I had no issues. Stock cooling system. Even if I drive it hard for a bit I don't get any noticable spike.
Jack it up, get a beer bong and make sure that its above the diff(of course!) Helps to have two people but its possible with one, you'll probably just spill a bit.
The only people that can honestly answer this are people who have replaced their old stockers with factory OEM componets. Even if your 20 year old suspension isn't blown, its not the same as when it rolled off the showroom. Generally people who get KYB's or tokiko's say its a bit stiffer than...
What this guy said. As far as lowering, don't cut the springs. What I did but I don't necessarily recommend ist use carriage bolts to clamp a few coils together. It's worked alright for me and the ride is almost the same but again why not throw some eibach springs on while you have them out.
I've often though about going that route but thinking about not having a fast car regularly depressed me so until I can afford both, I'm keeping the supra.

There are pleanty of people out there who have run the 7M with over 400whp and didn't touch the bottom end reliably. I think you're giving the 7M a worse rep than it deserves.
Just realized, you're planning on spending a good amount on them, i'd fiberglass them in that triangle spot stated above and you're going to want to get your whole system tuned afterward to fully benefit from those tweets.
There is no stock spot. Look at my build thread for what I did to mine. Keep in mind you cannot reverse the holes you cut in your door pannels (duhhh!)
Also if you can find a set of stock mitsubishi evo 8 injectors those literally bolt right in and are 560cc. Just make sure to get them flow tested prior to installing.
BTW the absolute minimum are: Lex AFM, injectors and fuel pump but many would advise a FPR, wideband and some sort of tuning...
