I don't have a sound clip, but it sounded pretty nice on the RHD one I was driving around before I sold it. Function is the main purpose, the sound is a fringe benefit for some.

Did you check the usual things like the coils and plugs, connections, the igniter? also wondering if you're sure your Walbro is genuine.

The reason yours is yellow is because you're pre-89 as opposed to 89+ grey. It's the same C1 Plug. The answer to your questions is yes. Wire up the other four, the W/B wire doesn't get used. You may not even need the white one. The white one is power for theft deterrent horn.
