If you're keeping the CT for a while get a downpipe. I know someone selling a RR one. Downpipe is what everyone does first, gets rid of the cat, the restrictive elbow, wg gets it's own piping either recirc or open. Make the car sound better, more responsive, you'll need to do it eventually...

Yeah you can run your own starter wire. If you look at the plugs missing you're ok though, those are easy to replace.

I'd do it. It's still relatively new so take car of it if and don't count on it breaking so easily. Honda's are easy to fix though. I would just do it because the GTI is nicer and I prefer 5spd. It IS up to you though. Check the book values and market values and go from there.
