Pretty damn good. They don't care how clean it is really. To them it's in good condition, that's it. Low KM too, great. I would pinch whatever extra pennies I can out of them, pay the deductible and run with the money.
It's a stock 1987 toyota.
$5200USD sounds pretty damn good to me. Yeah...
Unless he has good documentation of it's tuning, and something where things haven't been changed after I would take it to the local shop you trust and get it tuned and dyno'd
It wouldn't cost a lot to get those done, that car does look very nice and the price seems good as well.
Verify as much...
How bad is it, it could just be you mistaking the plastic tray underneath the battery for part of the cars metal body and thinking it's worse than it is, or it could be as bad as wide spread rust and through the metal where it would have to be cut out and replaced for best results.
They look great for the OEM supra look. I would paint them to protect them though with silver metallic rim paint, like the 91-92 come in and spray the center both so it all matches and so it's protected. At least clear it.
Powdercoating, that's something else, up here it's $200 for a set of...
^ He has a point.
My cousin sprayed his car, but it is an 87 samurai and it's his off-road rig/dd not by any means meant to show off. It did come out good though.
Np, I really like the difference they made in the handling and of course the overall look of the car.
The ride is good in my opinion too, I don't think I want or need to go to coilovers for a while.
Make sure you bleed when you're done.
I know it isn't something to replace but you sound a little unsure about the process though you might be. Rather tell you than read about the bad news later.
The first pictures here have stock 91-92 rims and stock size (winter) tires.
Here it is against a JZA70 with stock suspension.
Here it is with the stock suspension...not photoshopped, people ask. Not jacked up or anything, just high and wobbly.
And here is it with 215/55/16 tires...

It's pretty straightforward here, I find a lot of people aren't finding this link.
It's right on apexi's site.
lol, I rather see some more dyno sheets ;)
They ones I saw were pretty much the same design, except the supra logo and the sides of the headrests were blue.
I'm just realizing how funky our seats are in these cars, at least with the headrests up like that.
You kept saying he, and I was wondering....who? Your mechanic?
Then I realized you were a girl...lol.
Stupidity aside I think you should fix it, it depends on what you got it for too though to say if you got ripped off, unless I missed it.
Also, look where you are, most people will want you to...
If you're looking for something less common and want to chase down big power I would say the supra. tonnes of aftermarket support.
The lancer does have AWD if you like that and if you pretty much would like to stay stock stick with the lancer. Not that there isn't support but it does have more...
What kind of a thread is this, what is the discussion you're trying to generate. Your thread title is what aggravates ME.
Glad you got your bvsv though I guess?
