I am going to say that your ecu has taken the dive. Best bet is to open up the ecu and check for leaky capacitors. Old ecu's = old electronics that wear out and need replacing. Driftmotion does capacitor repair btw.
Try tapping your boost gauge into a different vacuum source just to make sure it is reading correctly. I too would have to agree that it sounds like your overboosting and thus the map sensor is out of range.
This may not be useful to you now but I have Jun 264 intake cam and a Jun 272 exhaust cam. I have not tested out my new setup yet as it is -25 Celsius outside and a winter wonderland. Come spring I can give you a full rundown.
I understand the reasoning behind adjustable cam gears and degreeing the camshafts properly. I think the main reason individuals use the stock cam gears is that the amount of time and dollars that goes into the cam gears and degreeing is not worth the small gain of 5-10hp.
A lot of the MK4 owners on Supraforums buy cam gears to get the most out of their stock cams. Then once they go with aftermarket cams like 264s or 272s a lot of the owners just put their stock cam gears on and sell the adjustable ones.
Im still trying to decide how a 3bar map sensor is going to solve this issue. The stinger has a built in map sensor. If that was the case then my car shouldn't work because I don't even have my stock 1JZ map sensor connected.
I got my valve off ebay for about 12 dollars. Search for 12V air horn valve. I then plumbed it the intake manifold and connected it to the Stinger. I have yet to try the engine temp activated relay but I am sure it will work out just fine.
The only thing that I needed to do was set the idle...
I don't plan on putting it in until the spring as it is -30 Celsius where I live at the moment. LOL. So ya the car is parked for the winter but I am planning my build.
As for why I am thinking the Devils Own kit. Mostly because I don't really feel the need to spend twice as much money on a...
Ya I have a feeling that by running increased boost and thus lower timing really did nothing for me performance wise. Plus the stock twins are completely out of their efficiency range at that level.
I plan on running the Devils Own Methanol Injection Kit with a 50/50 mix of water and methanol. Any idea of what size Nozzle I should run on my setup? My plan is to use the Stinger to turn on the pump at around 15 psi.
A list of my mods:

Well guys with the school semester finally starting to get under wraps it looks like I will have some time to work on the motor. I think I have compiled the list of everything that needs to be ordered and will order that during the Christmas break. I also plan on taking apart the valve covers...
