For those of you using the Stinger EMS have you found your car breaking up under high boost because the Stinger is setup for waste spark? I have found that even though I gap my plugs really far down I cannot run more than 18psi without breaking up.
I know there could be a number of culprits...
I agree just run the single 625ml nozzle. Having 2 nozzles may or may not give you a better spray pattern. The only way to get an equal amount of meth/water to each cylinder is by direct port on each runner.
Well for ease of convenience a twin turbo setup just makes sense on a v8. Imagine trying to plumb in a single kit on a v8.... You would have piping going all over the place. You could also do a bottom mount single in this case but a twin on a v8 is definitely a lot more feasible.
Here you go Jay. Unfortunately the calculator does not change the pump output so expect it to flow a bit more. I think you will be fine with dual 5gph/m5 (315ml) nozzles or a single 10gph/m10 (630ml) nozzle.
I don't know what it is but people always seem to think that more turbos = more power. With the turbo technology these days you can get good spool and an incredible amount of power. For instance, the new precision 6265 turbos spool like a GT35R but push enough air to compete with a T67. In the...
Also remember that those values are based at 100psi and the pump can flow much more than that. The pump is rated at 12volts but cars usually run somewhere around 13 or so.
Jay,
Here is a printout of the calculation that popped out on the converter. The numbers may be a little higher than your current setup but there are so many variables that it is almost impossible to calculate. It will get you in the ballpark and then you just have to do lots of testing.
I...
Well a quick update for everyone. I took off the valve covers, intake and turbo compressor cover. In my spare time I will be polishing these items. I will post pictures as the pieces start to shine so to speak.
Do either of you not have a catch can connected?
Jay, How did you decide upon using the M15 nozzle? Reason I say this is that I used a calculator on the Devils Own site and it recommends a m10 nozzle for your application. I know the calculator is only an estimate but that is what it says.
I guess my thread needs some sort of update doesn't it. Not much has happened since school has been crazy busy but it happened to be nice out today so I started to get some things done. I didn't get much but its a start at least. I removed the entire harness and got the intake manifold and valve...
I would try gapping your plugs to 0.028 and see if that solves the issue. Were your spark plugs carbon fouled by any chance? This could be the case because of a really rich mixture or wrong heat range. I know in my climate the 6097's would foul very quickly and I had to switch to 1 step hotter...
