It made sense at the time since I had completely rewired that section of the harness and I had never checked out the used coils I bought. I'm glad I did it just to verify that the parts should be in good working order.
Now that I have all this information I definitely see a connection here...
LOL! Completely missed your post and yes, constant off it is.

Just checked from +B to chassis ground and there is almost nothing.
Nope. CEL is not on at any time. I was crazy before. Thought the constant amber light was my CEL, it was really the stop lights. I wonder if just the bulb is burned out. Maybe that's too easy.
I suppose I could but I checked all the coils and wiring and it all checks out. I don't see where I could be going wrong with that. The fuses made more sense because I had a spare ground wire hooked up to the starter power and it made the fuel relay buzz. I have since connected those grounds to...
On my diagnostic block it is labeled as only T. I drew a diagram and compared the online TSRM to my car and they are the same location. I don't have a TE1..I have T. lol. My car is an 88 so maybe it's just different.
I was also concerned that I was just not doing it correctly so I tried it 3 or...
Just did this test. Jumped +B and Fp in the diagnostic block with the ignition switched to on. Nothing happened. No sound near the fuel pump and no pressure built on the gauge. How long would it take for the pressure gauge to read something?

So I have been diagnosing this for a while. The car will crank fine with no issues now but it will not try and start. This is what I have tried thus far.
-pulled the plugs. They were completely black and I thought they smelled like fuel. It may have just been the carbon or a bit of oil in the...
When you remove the cruise control assembly you need to connect the vacuum line for the boost gauge back up with the other vacuum line that runs over the brake booster. I literally did this 5 min ago. lol
Where is the grounding location for the brown and white wires in post 10 for the ECU ground?
Edit: Nevermind. I no longer have a stock manifold so it doesn't matter. Guess I will ground it at one of the transmission bolts.
So the vacuum line that's connected in the following picture needs to run to the fuel pressure regulator and the nipple on the left end needs to go to the intake manifold. I find this interesting because it seems whoever hooked this up before had it backwards or not hooked up at all.
I'm talking about the VSV under the intake manifold that, according to jetjock, "vents the fuel pressure regulator for about 2 minutes after a start when the coolant is hot. That increases fuel pressure and helps to clear vapor that has formed in the fuel rail during heat soaking when the engine...
Will definitely be getting a new battery for the meter tomorrow but by the way the lights lit up and how well it turned over I doubt its battery voltage related. I also doubt this is the relays problem. It worked perfect before the car was taken apart and now it doesn't. That added with the...
Anybody else have any ideas? This is rather confusing. I was considering unplugging the relay since I don't want fuel anyways for turning it over. Still need to figure it out though.

Just to trouble shoot...
Just tried to go check but my multimeter is dead and I don't have any 9V batteries in the house. Were you thinking it might be cause by a low charge on the battery?
I made a ton of progress in the past few days. The wiring inside the car is done. All that is left for wiring is the electric fan wire to a switched 12V source. All other wiring is done...except whatever I need to fix. The interior is back together and all gauges are fully installed. The rad is...
So this is confusing and not a problem I expected to have. Today for the first time in 6 months I put the battery in the car. As soon as the connections were made, the fuel pump relay starting making a loud noise like it was vibrating. What could cause this?
In the past 6 months everything in...
He's talking about the MkII. That car doesn't have the recessed area for the moulding that our cars do. Makes it easier for the stick on moulding to look correct.
