people have taken the 2jz manifold and converted it to fit the 7m runners. its a good bit of work. but other than some cutting and welding it will bolt right up!
dont rebuild it yourself. best case scenario you rebuild it yourself and it blows fairly quickly for the new owner. get a good core from the f/s section here as mentioned before or just send yours off for a rebuild.
then get the ebay IC and be done with it. I have been running one for over 2 years now without issue at slightly higher boost pressure (18-20ish).
as for the question if you need it now, it will help. the stock ic is a pressure drop dead zone so they rest won't have to work as hard.
if its a true group a/turbo a motor it wont have an afm and fc is a different beast.
honestly with a free flow exhaust and a touch more boost you should be there. ic and hardpipes should put you well over that.
/\ not even to pass go or collect $200?
where'd your bird go? I agree that I could guess what this thread was about from just reading the title. ah to be young again!
And this was the very reason I posted that Faq over on SF in the beginning. The placement of the fuel filter is there for a reason. Here in NA we have better gas quality than in other parts of the world and as was stated earlier the gas tank is usually one of the cleanest places in a car...
/\ pretty much true. same with alot of the lexus l-tuned wheels. the ones on my IS are ray's. go for it and you could always get spacers to bump them out
