    making an invention, reality?

me and some others from school have a few projects on the go that we were considering patenting, but the cost is prohibitive. the best plan is to not tell anyone about your idea, build a prototype, and then try to license or sell the idea. this way, you don't put your own capital into the...

    SAFC mounting?

you should get one of the fiberglass consoles that tte sells, he can make you one that deletes the unused/unwanted parts of the console instead of using a cover. i like the afc in the vent, looks slick!

do you know if Flow sells just the cutting head and associated parts? I've been looking around, haven't found much info. I can build my own 3/4/5 axis CNC without too much trouble, but find a complete abrasivejet cutting head is quite difficult.

    CF engine bay pics

ya, i was thinking more about fiberglass tape, but i guess it would depend on the type of weave and alot on the resin, give the harsh environment underhood.

    CF engine bay pics

couldnt you do the same piping idea with fiberglass and the appropriate resin? i was thinking that carbon tape, the stuff that comes in rolls thats usually 1" wide or so, would be even easier. just wrap the styrafoam like you would heatwrap an exhaust pipe. think it would work?

    CF engine bay pics

as an alternative to welding all of the holes shut and painting the engine bay, i think it is very nice. you should remove the headlights and get in behind them on the rad support. looks good!

    Painting Trim?

get colormatched paint. most chain autoparts stores that have paint section will be able to do it, just bring them a part, or give them the paint code for your car. You can get it in a tin, to use a proper spray gun, or you can get it in a spraybomb. i used a spraybomb, and it turned out ok, but...
