no part number, i just took a stock clip into the store, and looked at their selection. the ones i picked up had a bigger base and a longer "stud", so i trimmed them with tinsnips. they slide right into the moulding like stock ones, and are a bitch to get off, which imho is a good thing.

can you order the clips on their own? i didnt think you could i just went to the autoparts store and found a similar clip, then cut it to size. all of the clips cost me about $15

never heard of them, but all of the wheel designs look like copies of other brands. maybe they just put their own centercap on and resell them?

for leak finding, try something like this: http://www.siliconeintakes.com/category.php?cat=8&osCsid=6131188b663aaa4f8234d1a8b8853c12 you can buy one, or build your own, but its a good way to test. just put soapy water on the piping, and whereever it bubbles is where your leak is.

pick up a complete gasket kit, there is a member selling them in the FS thread. don't go MHG unless you get the block machined. your just asking for trouble, and will recieve no sympathy if/when the HG blows again due to you not doing it right the first time.

are you using a spoolgun MIG welder for the aluminum, or just a basic MIG? 120V? ive got a 120V Lincoln, curious if it can do small amounts of aluminum work.

car-parts.com has a good selection, but its hard to find a dealer that has all 3. you may have to buy 1 or 2 from different sellers. I found one that had 3 for $25 each, paid him, then get a call the next day saying they only had one, so its kindof hit and miss. I ended up getting a like-new set...

just a quick pic of my progress, the engine bay. just put on powdercoated valvecovers, lower intake runners, and engine lift/alt bracket. the color matches my MKIV 17s.

maybe gather some more interest, they interested people and even some definite people backed out. we dont want to see the GB die like so many others have in the past...

getting this punched out at work in the next day or two: this will cover the plug valley and the indents in the valvecovers. i didnt put holes in it becuase im not sure how imounting it yet, becuase i shaved my valvecovers...
