I would stay away from King bearings. I've actually had good luck with the stock bearings if properly installed and machined. Couple of friends have had good luck with Clevite as well.
I don't have any direct experience with your situation. But personally I would do whatever it takes to get a 2nd knock sensor in there. Use two wires and two sensors just like stock. If that doesn't fix it I would bet the problem is your rewiring. I've seen rewire jobs fail immediately as...
Technically on the 7m the loss of a knock sensor will only cost you most of your horsepower. It will never blow the motor. The ECU compensates by backing the timing down a ridiculous amount.
Lexus AFM and 550's will work without any form of fuel control. In some cars though it takes some time for the ECU to relearn. Also piggybacks have limited use in adjusting idle a/f. For the most part they will only affect the car at WOT.
Also you didn't happen to do any other mods to the...
No the car does not need the cold start injector hooked up in any way shape or form unless you're in extremely cold weather (talking below 0F). You don't even need the cold start injector temperature time switch hooked up.
If you haven't reset the ECU codes lately then check them and make sure you don't have any codes. There are quite a few codes that can freak the ECU into messing with the timing in an abnormal way.
90's HAC is built into the ECU. Boost pressure sensor is only to work the stock gauge. A lot of it also depends on what year your donor engine is from. Toyota changed almost every harness on the car in between 1986.5 and 1992 in different years. I don't think the N/A TPS is the same, ISC is...
I've seen a couple 7m's that really didn't like the Lexus/550 mod, and it seems to occur more on the later 7m's. Basically the ECU is too far off and needs to relearn the settings. Reset the ECU by pulling the EFI fuse for 30 seconds, then start the car. You'll probably have to help the car...
The ultimate should work in the very least the same way the blue did. The real question is whether or not the extra features will work, and will they be easy to setup, i.e. AFM removal.
It all depends on what you're trying to do with the car. If you've got the money to spend and you're trying...
Damn Alan Jordan and Nick, I haven't heard from you guys in a long long time. How you guys been?
LOL @ St Louis PD. Hell no I never paid that ticket :) I've still got it though, "excessive acceleration" my ass :)
Again, we're not making money off this deal. Just trying to get GOOD hosting for cheap. Good hosting costs money, just like good car mods.
As for how many people we're adding, not sure yet. A small number for now, 1-3 probably.
Malloynx can you post some pics of your car and maybe a little bit more description of what you've got?
Supra90turbo can you list a few key items that you're putting on the car?
Justin we'll talk in person. Thinking about bringing Bryan onto MA70 as well.
Yes, you need the "external harness" for the e-01. Hook up the e-01's white or gray wire to the 5v signal from your Zeitronix and hookup the e-01's black wire to ground. Set the e-01 via http://www.mohdparts.com/emanage/manuals/profec_e-01_manual/24.jpg If you used the white wire it's channel...
You also must be able to make updates more then twice a year. We've come to realize that MA70 is getting stale and requiring updates is going to be an unfortunate side effect.
It's hard to describe what exactly what we're looking for. The car has to be a good example of what a MK3 could be...
I have contacted almost every Supra person in the area and everyone is ok. Major loss of property and morale, but they are safe. I have yet to hear from MKII Chris, MKII John, Daison and Chris K. If anyone has heard from them please let us know they are ok. I know a few people lost their...
Well we got lucky in this area and the only damage was loss of electricity. New Orleans and almost everything around it is totally trashed. Unfortunately this hurricane was not hyped by the media and it did an undescribable amount of damage. They are talking at least a month before they...
