TPS.... I have a 2J harness, and my first plan was to use the 2J tps and solder the 2J tps piggytail into the 7M harness. That way I could keep the stock 2J tps. But... I couldn't find anywhere that verifies the 2J tps puts out the same signal as the 7M. So I dug into my box of sensors...

tlo86 - I just hooked up the A/C lines to see if it fits and it does! I was worried as the clearance is tight but I ground down the P/S mount enough. It is never thinner than about 3/8 inch so I think it is still plenty strong. I will take pics when I get some o-rings and bolt down the lines...

Well, I have done as much as I can with the motor out so it was time to put it back in.... I needed it in the bay so I can fit the DP and wastegate, and re-weld the flange on the wastegate. Also need to start hooking up the P/S and A/C and I wanted to see what parts I may need to get it all...

To mod the CPS, I put it in the head as far as it will go then marked lines top and bottom over the 2J bolt. Then I drilled 4 holes with a 1/4 drill. Got the dremel and smoothed the rest out.. Dok33 I should be able to get to the post office tomorrow so I will send you that EGR thing.

Anyone considered using the tranny cooler in the stock radiator for a PS cooler?? I am trying to fit all the radiators/coolers and I am running out of room. I would like to hear any opinions on trying this.

More stuff.... Installed the CPS today, you have to make a new 'hole' to line it up with the bolt in the 2JZ head. Not to difficult and once its done it fits right in. First two pics are from the front, with the new hole, and then from the side. I had to grind down a ridge to make a flat...

The port on the side of the P/S resevoir is the return from the rack. I will have to look at my 2J when I get home in a few days for the rest, but I think the 2 vacuum lines and the big one of the TB are for the little diaphram thingie that actuates the EGR valve, it seems you are missing...

OK, a little more progress today... I replaced the front main seal, and put on a new timing belt and tensioner pulley. Also pulled the harness off the 7M and started to figure out which wires will go where. I moved the ECU coolant sensor and the temp gauge sender from the 7M to the 2JZ...

Not much progress on the 2JZ this week. Instead I spent my time saying goodbye to the 7M:cry: It's out now so next week when I get a few days off work I will start moving the 7M harness/sensors over to the 2JZ. I will try and document it with pics so it might help some of you guys thinking...
