That is a pretty cute charcoal canister! However, if we use that on a US spec car, it creates room on the hot side. I believe it would be a nice cosmetic enhancement, even if you aren't adding a catch can.
Bumpers are not cheap. A stock bumper will cost you $500 or better. Suprahero's car has the same front bumper. I have the same bumper without the turbo "A" duct. It's a nice bumper, but it is definitely not bullet proof. You have to be very careful with it.
Look up shineauto here as a member...
Now I have to make different plans for Sunday!:biglaugh:
Seriously, the original post asked for pictures. Do none of you hacks have a camera? I'd like to see a driver side picture without the cruise control removed.
So, have you ever won a race?
That fire looks like it had an accelerant. But ya, see if insurance will allow you to keep it for parts. It does have plenty left to work with. The motor will at least need a wiring harness.
Sorry for your loss!!!!!!!!!!!
FTFY! I'm glad you have to work for them now. Nobody likes a cheap boobie!
Congrats on the registration! I'm hoping to get mine legal in the coming days as well.
It is possible. Typically, a faulty AFM won't rev over 2500 rpm. To test it, unplug the AFM. If no change, follow the TSRM for a secondary test. Running like it is, it may not even start with it unplugged. And, remember, the ECU does have to learn idle after the battery has been disconnected...
Look at your cam gears. Make sure that the dowel pin is in the center hole of the gear, and in the center hole on the cam itself. Once I sorted this out, I could finally get my timing to be centered on the CPS.
I got a little lost reading through. I'm assuming you have the spark issue solved...
I hope I can make it, but really doubt it from right now. I cranked it today, and it reverted back to backfiring and running like crap. I am going to re-check my timing tomorrow. It was so funny.......I had my dog outside with me when I cranked the car. He's like Milo, and is always there when I...
That's a really hard place to get a picture. If I'm not mistaken, that hose is pre-formed, but is still a PIA. It just barely is long enough, and somewhat difficult to properly attach once you get there. You want a crush washer on both sides of the metal fitting. Be careful to not cross thread...
Let me see what this next weeks brings. I first have to get it registered, and see what it does above 30mph. It definitely still needs some tuning, but it is doing much better than it was before.
Car is now running pretty good, and also has a freshly painted RED front bumper with no cracks (THANKS George!). I was going to try to go get it registered today, but never got enough time to try it. I want to take it out of my neighborhood, and get over 30 mph!
Pictures tomorrow!
