Haha...yep. I think I got everyone in our group with my oil slick. This seems to be an annual thing with us Eastsiders... Last year, my car was the one that got dowsed with oil when the supra in front of me blew a cam seal. Maybe we should start a club over here called the 'Slick-Siders'...
Ha ha my exact thoughts as I was fueling up! Even when she's broke, she looks dang good! Thanks Ron.
Yeh, it's an easy fix, I just think it's time to retire that high mileage motor. Plus, I lost enough oil to cause concern. I'm just not sure she can take any more thumping. ;)
Here's a little update for everyone...
This is what happened on my way to our semi-local Supra meet. I was driving as a Supra should be driven through the twisty Cascade Mountains, and as I headed in to a hairpin turn, I started to brake. A quick assessment by my ninja like race car driving...
Thanks Scott. Yes, there's a lot of detail. The old adage... "If you're going to do it, do it right the first time". ;)
As soon as school breaks, I might start on that seal. They'll probably be snow on the ground by then though. :(
Nah... ;)

My turbo selection has been made. Precision 6266 T4. 4" Inlet/2.5" Outlet. That's the same size as my current JT62 so modification will be minimal. I have also decided to go with a bigger Walbro. Those ID 1000's are gonna need some...
She made 384hp/387tq @17 psi. I've been running her at ~21 psi. The 410 is an estimation...
I'll be looking for a little more out of this next motor. ;)
Hey Ron! I hope all is well. Yeah, it was headed for the paint booth until the front main blew. Now, my 162k mile, 410 hp motor is being retired. The replacement has all sorts of goodies! :) I may or may not have it painted once the motor is out. That's still up in the air.
I should have...
The 5th Dyno has been delayed slightly. ;)
I know...I know... The car was headed for the paint booth until the Centralia Blowout happened. I still haven't touched
it....and I mean touched it. :(

Hey Van,
A lack of torque is the first sign of a slipping clutch. My ACT TS2-XTSS started slipping at ~350 wtq which was 15 psi of boost on the setup at that time. ACT sent me a new clutch on their nickel because of a mis-advertisment. After break-in with the new clutch, at the same boost...
Exactly. But, when the other switches wear out and/or he gets tired of playing musical doors...temporarily preventing it from arming would prevent him from getting jumped by his neighbors every morning. ;)
Brad, I'm running a Fidanza with the exact clutch he has and the chatter is amazingly horrible. Not sure if that's his reasoning, I just thought I'd throw that out there. :) Plus, there's the welding possibility...
...I just love it when a post comes in when I'm typing... :biglaugh:
$1k isn't too bad of a price for a gun that shoots as well as that one. Try pricing a Pardini. ;)
Nice piece there Fred. I hope to see some groupings posted up! :biglaugh:
