With the information given, I'd say it has something to do with the CPS, because that's what you worked on just prior to it not running correctly. I would guess that there was some reason for replacing your CPS, so it might be just the same as it was before the swap? If new problems arise after...

Are you wanting to do this to add power, or just because the GTE parts are available to you? Or Both? Generally a turbo piston will be lower compression than it's non turbo equivalent. So, I doubt you'd gain power from the swap.
