With the information given, I'd say it has something to do with the CPS, because that's what you worked on just prior to it not running correctly. I would guess that there was some reason for replacing your CPS, so it might be just the same as it was before the swap?

If new problems arise after working on your car, always retrace everything you touched.

Tightening the bolt on the CPS would have nothing to do with the rotor of the CPS itself. That bolt just bolts into the block. Have you checked to see if you may have broken the socket you might have been using?

ok let me tell you guys the whole story my car just stop runing out of no where it would turn but not start, that was like 3 months ago. so i wasnt sure what it was at first i thought its was the igniter but i did my research and the symptoms looked more like the cps so i changed that. anyways so i never changed a cps in my life but i knew i had time it but had no idea how, but i found a post on here how to time it. so it said that cylinder one had tobe on tdc and the cps at 0 so i did that and it started it. it idle wierd like it revs itself and it drops like if it want to turn off then after a while it turns off.

it could be somthing i forgot to put back when i was putting it back together.

Did you mess with the cam/ crank timing at all?( timing belt)

Cyl1 needs to be on tdc compression stroke, make sure by pulling the spark plug and sticking a chop stick in.
When you put the CPs in the rotor tab needs to be slightly before( left) the fixed tab and when it's in the Tab needs to be to the right of the fixed one( the fixed one will line up with the end of the hole on the rotor.

Also after you install correctly you will need a to
Ing gun and set to 10 degrees btdc.

There is a pic and a sticky iirc of where is should line up. Iirc ismns wrote it but could be nick.
