*UPDATE Went to the machine shop today to talk to Bobby face to face to see what was up. He showed me all the heads. We looked at the 2nd head that was shaved for a 2mm hg (The one I bought from Patch!) That's the head I'm going with :) I was worried about some pitting on the coolant...

Hey also I would like to go see some other heads at the place you are talking of. My school starts monday though and will be going mon wed fri for school like half days. I want to have the machine shop check the head before I buy it though.

Well I only told him to do a leak and crack test on the first two. So any after that I am not paying for cause I did not authorize. I'm tempted to try another shop for the head. I think this guy is a bit on the ANAL side!

Well he has said that all 3 of my first heads are leaking from valves. The last two he actually saw in the junkyard and said a plug for the cam shaft was missing and cannot be replaced? And the other one he looked at and said he could tell it was no good? I mean come on... WTF

Thanks! Is there a maximum warpage for the camshaft journals? I'm trying to figure out why all the heads I have taken to this place are said to be warped on the top end where the cams are. The head surfaces are fine. But the top wtf? I can't find info on this!

Shit it aint that super! I think I will have to go with the head I bought from patch probably. It's already shaved for the hg I have, we should be able to get a valve job done on it. Bobby was just worried about warpage on the upper part. I'm guessing where the cams go. He said the cams are...

I know man. They are brothers that run the place. I believe Tommy manages the blocks and Bobby manages the heads. That's how I see it anyways. They are pretty much perfectionist, but this can be a good/bad thing. Bobby said both heads I have so far will work, but he's not that happy with them...

Well they guy we got the supra from in the beginning is dropping off a head from one of those engines in the yard. He's taking it to the machine shop and putting it under my name so hopefully that one will check out. Maybe a GE head is in order
