I went out and took a couple of gel lit shots of the 38 Chev project car in my yard, and put them together to come up with this.

I have no idea how this will end....

We then headed down to the shed to collect the rest of the 37. Lifted the body back onto the 37 chassis and then bolted and strapped it down for the ride home. One final shot from the Gull servo on Brookton Highway on the way home.

I have no idea how this will end....

As I've said all along, I have NFI how all this will turn out... And today it took another turn... After a mate found a couple of 30's Chev's in Beverley, he decided he didn't have enough room for another project, and passed the contact details on to me.... We believe they're a 38 3 tonne...

Two more photos from Saturday night... We were driving past UWA when I remembered the underpasses had some pretty cool lighting, so stopped in for a few shots... This one was mostly ambient light, but I did fire the flash once at full power into towards the left hand side of the shot for...

I liked the street lights here too, so after shooting the city I turned around and shot the lights. I liked the way the whole street was bathed in a kind of dirty yellow light from these "old style" street lamps. k8 thought I was taking a photo of the car here.

Here's some shots from the weekend. It's time for another full moon, and although there's a lot of other ambient light in these particular shots, thats usually about the time I go out looking for things to shoot at night, because if there's no other light around, there's always the light from...

speed: the only lighting equipment I use is a handheld Canon 580EX flash and some coloured gels (which costs about $5 off ebay) turbonator: I use irfanView for the batch processing on my photos, which consists of resizing, adding the border and the text... it's a nice small (low processor...

    Stinger thread....

hey guys... what are your opinions on antilag setup / switches? I'm planning setting it up on a relay so that you have 1 switch (manually switched) to enable the system, and then another switch (eg clutch / handbrake - switched as part of normal driving) that switches the input on the...

    Speedo cable

more speedo cable questions.... by the sounds of it, the upper cable should rotate fairly freely when you try to twist the drive section from the bottom end? mine takes a bit of effort to do (can't do it with fingers, but can with pliers) i guess it's seized up.... anyone elses done this, and...

I have no idea how this will end....

Well, I've done a bit of shopping and the first project is starting to take shape... On Sunday, I went to a local auto parts swapmeet hosted by the Vintage Car Club of WA.... One of my mates was there selling a couple of chassis', I picked up one of them for a fairly good price...

I'm in Australia though.... they're rare, but not that rare... :) I'll probably try to fix the chassis up, but only to see if I can learn a few things along the way... The intention is to use the engine, box, suspension, steering etc elsewhere...

hehe... i figure, i would pay good money for a spare 3.73 rear and subframe... i have a spare subframe and open 4.1 rear already, so thats near enough to a win... my cargo blind is rooted, this one is perfect, so thats a win... the switch gear on this electric seat is intact, mine isn't... if...

Under the bonnet.... It could have looked a lot worse... This is the worst of it... Radiator support is bent back a fair bit... Radiator has been pushed back and is stopping the fan from turning... if you replaced the windscreen and pulled the radiator support panel forward, you could...

I have no idea how this will end....

OK... Here's the background.... A short time ago, this car was driven through the wall of a lunch bar in the northern suburbs of Perth. A mate of mine was called to extract it. The owner (the mother of the driver) elected to sign the keys over to the my mate rather than try to fix it...

    1jz with different diffs

it's usually easier to just source it as a whole unit.... and once you've swapped em a few times, it becomes a fairly simple job :) just make sure you have a good trolley jack to lift the new one in with... it also usually helps to drop your exaust...

i've got a pair of turbos off a 2JZ-GTE of unknown origin.... :) they are sequential were sequential until Ray Hall got hold of them, and the closest thing to them I've seen on a 2JZ was in an Aristo... this is the turbos and the mods that were done to them before I got hold of them...

Justin: I gotta paint the Supra first :) rs4rush: Camera is a Canon EOS-30d, and the lens I've used for most (all?) of the shots in this thread is just the stock EF-S 18-55 kit lens that comes with the EOS-20d's... My big dollar lenses are both telephoto jobbies that I use mostly for...
