I have an 87 safc1(just like yours)...Ok I would guess it is in the air flow sensor path so this is how I hooked it up along with everything else. Air flow sensor wire cut, pink wire connected first(to the harness) then the orange behind it not connected to teh pink, just to teh AFS wire. Then...

Well I just got done installing my SAFC 1 and I installed it just like the diagram and when I try to crank it it won't start......whats wrong?????

You should write up a how to on engine clean up with whatever you used on that puppy cause it looks damn good. Or at least just tell us in this thread :naughty:

I will be there for sure and I will try to get a couple more mk3's from around town to come up with me as well.

I'm going to have to give another vote for the E-01, just put mine in yesterday. Easy to install, and set up and mmmmm..... the boost feels damn good!
