how are you getting water on it? isn't it covered by a part of the under cove rand the wheel fender cover? I have mine in the same place but haven't driven my car much though the rain so i haven't had the same problem.

USDM mk4 flange is quite a bit off from the JDM but if you redrill the wholes or have the flange off you can make it work. it's a PIA but it works.
