    Code 52...

This is good advice, however on '89+ cars, the rear knock sensor location moved a bit forward (toward the front of the car) and as such, with care, the rear KS can be removed without touching the starter. I still recommend disconnecting the battery though, as the + battery cable is right there...

    bmw wheels on a mk3

If the offsets were closer to what I would need, I would consider it. I'm getting those Forgelines refinished this winter, they'll be on in the spring. ;)

    timing issue!!!

First, verify that your mechanical timing is dead on. Your crank pulley needs to be at 0* with #1 piston at TDC, and the cam notches at 12 o'clock. Warm the car up to operating temperature. To adjust ignition timing, assuming that you've properly inserted the CPS, you need to place a jumper...

    adjusting dampers - tein flex

Generally the shock won't "spring you back up". That's the job of the spring. ;) A damper's job is to control spring movement.

    Code 52...

NO! Rodknock has absolutely NOTHING to do with code 52, EVER! The knock sensor's job is to look for a specific frequency at which spark knock occurs, in this case, 7kHz is the magic number where max timing is pulled. When the ECU gets this signal from the knock sensor(s), it will retard the...

High Egts after running perfect for 4 months

Do you have a wideband hooked up currently? What are your AFRs? Leaking injector, causing a lean condition, thus causing the spike in EGTs, maybe? Edit: Also, with the KS code (assuming some part of the system is non-functional, which appears to be the case), you should be running rich.

    simple question...someone must know..

Very important. I would venture to say that your life could depend on it. Put them back in. The seat brackets are not designed to take the full load of your weight on impact, which is why the seatbelt is bolted to the chassis in three places. 1) At the retraction unit, 2) above your shoulder...

    simple question...someone must know..

From the angle, they look like the seat belt anchors. (so that the seat mounts don't have to take the load of your body in an accident)-

    The *unofficial* Ricer thread

I didn't get a pic of it, I was late for a movie. I pulled up in my '95 M3, parked two spots away from a crappy, rusted out, white 3 series, on stock 16" rims, unpainted side skirts, non M bumpers (comes like that stock), all with an M3 badge mounted crooked on the trunk. :nono: Fucking Krauts.

    86 7mgte 4x4 build

Junk the truck, send me the motor. Problem solved. LOL. I've got everything for the swap, just no time to actually build the motor. I decided to look for a decent running GTE to drop in to lay the groundwork/getting everything sorted and running properly, then build the motor I want for it...
