i just got a real nice set of bmw bbs wheels. They are 17x8 5x120 lug pattern. So for them to fit i need to get some lug adapters. I found a set that will adapt 4.5(114.3) to 4.75(120.7) so it sould be able to fit the bmw wheels. First problem is offset, the bmw are +20 and the adapters are 25mm thick. So this would give me a +45 offset. IS this going to make my rims stick out? My other problem is that the rims are hubacentric and my adapters dont have a hub for the rims to sit on. IS this going to cause any problems. lugs snaping, lugs loosing, or any other problem

if the wheels are +20 and the spacers / adapters are 25mm, you are looking at -5mm offset when it is all said and done.with an 8" wide -5 wheel id guess you might need to do some fender massaging to make them fit depending on what tire size you want to use.

thanz for all of the info but i am going to make these rims fit lol. Any one know about hubacentric vs lugacentric. The rims where designed for hubacentric and i am going to try to use them as lugacentric.

They will only wobble a little, and stick out too far.

IMO, you should sell the wheels to someone who can use them,
take that money, and what the adaptors would cost,
and buy wheels that fit your car.

They look like nice wheels and if you picked em up for cheap, turn around and sell them. Take that money and get some that fit properly. Having them not work as hubcentric is a pretty big issue in reality as the hub is supposed to take most of the load. I remember someone having the studs break because they didn't run the hub rings with aftermarket wheels...

You're going to have to mash the front and roll the rears with some stretch on the tires, 8" -5mm will have the same outside fitment as my front and 10mm more sunk in than my rear. If you're car has any wheel gap it's going to look terrible.
You really want to go through all that hassle for 17x8 BMW wheels?:: facepalm ::

I would personally just sell the wheels and pic up a new set. You don't have to be Mr. Baller with 3,600$ wheels, but you can have a good set of wheels fort under $1,000. (I got my TT rims for 200$ and they look brand new!!! No center caps though)

If the offsets were closer to what I would need, I would consider it. I'm getting those Forgelines refinished this winter, they'll be on in the spring. ;)
