I should have known and tested better but couldn't really get down to the knock sensors with the correct socket (I didn't have a deep 27mm) so I've been dealing with that dam Code 52 for about a year. I even did the rewire kit. The mechanic that did my head gasket replaced the ks' so I figured...
Hey CajunKenny,
I really like the Riviera's. I think the "retro" type mesh rims look awesome on the MKIII. After a lot of comparing, I decided to go with similar rims (MRR Design GT1). Look them up and see if you like them.
Good luck!
I saw this one on CraigsList. For me, it is WAY over the top but to each his own. I wish him luck with selling it. Wonder if this person is in the forums???

I'm in a very similar situation. My uncle gave me a CJ7. Problem is that when he bought it, he never did the DMV stuff so the car is still under the previous owner to my uncle. Not that big of an issue but still a hassle. Here's the kicker (this was about a decade ago), the previous owner...
Well I have decided...
2JZ+V160+MKIV Diff (NO, I won't buy the MKIV, sorry) is the ultimate dream but reality says I just won't "use" it. Well, I will but it's still not realistic considering that what I want is a reliable daily driver that can deliver some fun when I want to. The fun would...
Poodles read my first post! :aigo:
Yes, this motor is intended to tide me over until I can find a 2JZ and build it the way I want to. I am bone stock (besides wheels and coilovers) so the motor should buy me enough time to get the piecies that I need for the 2J swap.
Thanks for the respose guys. The good deal didn't turn out to be so good I guess. Well at least I got an engine stand and hoist along with a ton of parts with the package.
Poodles: I like the idea of getting just the cover machined. I'll look around before taking it apart. Hopefully, I...
I didn't know that it was good practice to clean out the threads either. Probably because I'm not a mechanic and just following a book. Glad I read this thread as I am about to torque my head and block together when the ARP's get here.
I bought this motor from a guy who bought it from Attarco. It was a rebuilt crate motor. Before he could do the swap, his son wrecked his Supra so he stored it with the intention of finding another shell. That did not happen so here I am with the motor. When the guy stored the motor, he failed...
Bought my 90T with BHG. IMO, 7M's are a dime a dozen. Rebuild yours or find one to rebuild. A clean 91 or 92 Turbo body/shell with a good interior is extremely hard to find.
What is the name of the tool you bought? It would help alot.
I am looking at the RK's because they have a "Main Kit". Not sure but it sounds like a "complete" kit. I will call and ask before purchasing. I'm almost ready to purchase but totally not ready for the work because of what it says in...
What is the saying? Oh yes, "Please don't kill me, I'm just the messenger!". :biglaugh:
I will check that out as well but I kind of doubt it cuz I don't see any leaks. I don't rub while on flat pavement even when I hit bumps or cracks going the posted speeds. Only when going up the...
I wish that was the case Alec, then I wouldn't have to worry so much. I will compress the springs on my coilovers a little bit more on top of rolling my fenders. See the cute little pic of my fender lip smiling at me.
Well, I do rub, especially when going up from the street to a slightly steep ramp into a parking lot. I'm not that low either (can put one finger between tire/fender). I think my springs are a bit too soft. I will trade up later but for now I will have to roll my fenders.
My front tires rub so I need to get my fenders rolled. I stopped by the shop to make an appointment and the guy noted that he can only roll the part between the two screws at the top. The problem these screws are mounted at a "tabbed" out area and are actually cutting into my tire tread...
