    I have read that the PRofec bII was a bit eratic and hard to set up correctly. I would suggest you find a PRofec S or the original PRofec b. WWWAAAYYY easy to use.

    Sound like you may have a stuck solenoid. Have you tuned in/set the Gain feature?
