+1 for the 4Runner. I love my 97 and it does the job. I've hauled a couple from one side of town to the other (Houston is a big place) and had no issues, although I would reccomend some brake upgrades on the 4Runner (good pads and rotors).
I had a tech @ work tell me that I should not have my ground wire from the battery over 3' in length. He suggested I run the ground from the battery to the sub-frame and chasis in the rear, and ground the block to the sub-frame and chasis in the front. From the hatch to the block is well over...
I have had several friends compliment me on my Tanabe. They liked how it wasn't obnoxious @ idle and cruise, but sounded really good when getting on the throttle.

I've only seen this done once before over on SF a couple of years ago. Finish it and post pics!
I was thinking of doing something similar w/ my GReddy replica bumper, 2 87-88 upper grilles and 89- signals.

Sorry to hear about your accident. As far as Progressive goes, after working on the other end of things (automotive repair) no, they never want to pay shit. Just like all insurance companies. However, the repairs they do pay for, they are meticulous about it being done right (paint...
I just pulled mine off today. I jacked up the ass end of the car, unbolted the tranny mount, lifted the transmission slightly (gave me about 1/2' more room) and went to work. I used a flexhead 10mm Gearwrench ratcheting wrench, and a 10mm Gearwrench socket (it snaps into your Gearwrench wrench...
What about purchasing "hatch carpet" only? I'd be interested in dark grey, MKIII script. Can any other colors be gotten? I just bought new carpet in "graphite" from Auto Custom Carpets and would really like it to match if possible.:D
The first pic in my previous post (if I remember reading the thread correctly) was actually done as a complete paint job. Base and then clear w/ a flatening agent v/s glossy.
