Wow so I had a massive fuel leak coming from the injectors. Took them out tonight and most is not all of them were shredded up looking and had cracks all around. I dunno why I didn't replace them when I had stuff apart? Live and learn I guess.

Would having that big of a fuel leak cause the car to idel rough, hesitant start ups, and a loud hissing noise? Cause we isolated the hissing noise to the area near the oil cap, injector 1,2 where leaking very bad. Checked all the hoses and the fuel leak was the only thing I could find? I'll post the pic up later!

Are you talking about just the seals and the grommets, the o-rings on the top will cause a fuel leak if bad, the grommet on the bottom can cause vacuum leak. If you have them installed correctly, you should be able to rotate them a little, lightly lube the o-rings when you install.

Wow, I didn't think of that as being a place for a vacumm leak......

Hmm. I just took my fuel rail back out cause I was wondering if thats the place of the leak? I replaced the grommets that go into the head.... but... your saying o-rings will cause fuel leak? I think I'll just go back to toyota tomorrow morning and get new o-rings and the gromment things that go against the fuel rail. Better safe then sorry. I think they had them all in stock

If you install them with the o-rings dry it's not hard to "pinch" or tear an o-ring. Pull them out of the rail, and look for a little tear in the o-ring. I have to say I've never seen an injector leak externally.

Got all brand new moldings for around the car! I'll be selling the old ones if anyone is interested. They are in good condition. Plus all the windshield black moldings. Waiting to save up money for a new front bumper, a little bit of body work and a brand new paint job!
