Why would you want it? IC's have gotten pretty damn cheap now that China is able to pump them out at low cost. Without knowing what's done to your car, can't really comment on if it would be a good buy (you also neglect to say how much it is...)
Many people don't realize the starter solenoid is a giant relay, that's why the "rewire" always makes me laugh.
Not to mention if it's intermittent, it's the damn contacts in said relay (i.e. in the starter) It's a cheap fix but most mechanics these days are part swappers...

Honestly there's not a lot you can do to get the same sound as a turbo car. The turbo acts as a muffler on it's own.
The age of the machine doesn't matter, it's the cutting head and speed that they do it...
Also, that's a clutch for an NA Supra with a W58 and won't work...
As the original 550cc/lex mod already runs rich (like the factory setup) and he's running 560cc injectors instead, he's probably fine.
