Having an automatic ecu is not your problem with the speedometer not working. Check the speedo cable. And remember that it comes in two different parts.

I have been looking at getting a lightened crank pulley for my 7mgte, but I don't know anyone that is currently running one (or has in the past) is there something wrong with using that crank pulley?

I used usb cable on my car when I did the rewire. I made sure to ground both ends of that wire. The reason why people who did the rewire but were still getting code 52 way becuase of either a back connection or not having a good ground for the shielding.

It is a pressureized system, it could be that you have a small leak somewhere. Or your heatercore isn't completely full (gurling system when your in the cab). Bring the coolant back down to just under the resivior and see what happens.

As Jdub said, it's in the main box. pull the big round fuse closest to the fender and pull the fuse that is closest to the fender and the battery. It's in the corner. It's a 15 amp.
